The Solomon Valley 4-H Club met October 12th at the 4-H building. During National 4-H Week, members gave presentations at the after-school program at Colby Grade School, helped with a 48 Hours of 4-H community cleanup, and recorded radio promotions.

Our Seal Committee also turned in the paperwork for our club’s Purple Seal. Members who took part in state shotgun and archery events were recognized, and State Fair exhibitors got to share what they showed. We also installed our new officers for the 2026–2027 4-H year.

The club talked about the plans for the Achievement Banquet on November 13th and voted to help Tori Harter with her KYLF trip in November. Members also voted to make Christmas cards for nursing home.

Bear Stramel and Ben Haag led the club in singing “Ghostbusters.” The photography project will have a photo challenge each month. October’s theme is “Autumn Orange.” Winning photos will be posted on the Thomas County website.

Solomon Valley 4-H members spent a Saturday afternoon pulling weeds and picking up trash at the Colby Visitor Center as part of the 48 Hours of 4-H community service project.

Our next club meeting will be November 9th at 7:00 p.m.
