Praise & Worship Team

This past Tuesday, our HCS junior high volleyball team hosted Rawlins County and Cheylin. We beat Cheylin in two straight games but lost to Rawlins County in two games. They were close games and the last game was a nail biter. Thanks to everyone who helped in any way.

Also on Tuesday, Korin and Elijah Gabel competed for CFE in a cross country meet in Oberlin. Pictures are on the following page(s).

Mr. Shane Timson was our Chapel speaker on Wednesday. One of Mr. Timson’s main points was taken from the parable in Mathew about the owner leaving and distributing specific talents to three of his servants when he left the country and returned later. Two servants doubled what they were entrusted with and one servant buried what had been given to him. Shane related that we all have specific talents or gifts that God has blessed us with and that we should use them to the best of our ability to glorify Him! Thank you, Mr. Timson for sharing with our students and staff.

Our junior high volleyball team traveled to Northern Valley on Thursday. Our A team defeated Northern Valley in two straight games. Our JV team won one out of three games with Northern Valley. We continue to improve each time we have an opportunity to play. Also, on Thursday, our high school JV volleyball team participated in Grainfield. We played Oakley, Quinter, and Wheatland. Even though we came out on the short end on the score board, our team was ahead several times and competed well.

Just a reminder that Scholars Bowl practice begins in two weeks. Please respond to Kasey Griffith’s emails if you are interested in being involved.

The BOE meeting has been moved up one week from October 13th to October 6th due to several scheduling conflicts.
