Abilene Hustlers 4-H Club September Minutes

The monthly meeting of the Abilene Hustlers 4-H club was held on September 15 at the 4-H building. Jr. President Emery Fikan called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Roll call was answered by your favorite book, in which 34 members were present. Jack Denny gave the treasurer's report, followed by Finley Frantz giving the reporter's report.

Next, it was stated that fair awards will be a green hoodie for Reserve Champion and a tool bag for Grand Champion. The post-fair celebration will be held during the weeks of Christmas break. It was also decided that all clubs will be selling Gambino’s pizzas again this year. They will be made February 13th. For 48 hours of 4-H, all club members will meet at the 4-H building on October 10th and pick up trash all around town.

The leader’s report was then announced- all record and officer books are due on October 1st to the extension office. For new business, the club discussed nominees for Friend of 4-H as well as 4-H family of the year. Following that, election of new officers took place.

Finally, Rawlins Mattix led the club in playing Sharks and Minos. The meeting was then adjourned. The next meeting is set for October 5th, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the 4-H building.
