Welcome back from spring break! Mr. Shane Timson was our chapel speaker this past Wednesday. Shane works for NWKS Radio(KLOE and KWGB), and he shared some of the stressful times he has experienced at his job and how he has allowed God to be in complete control. Shane related that when challenging times and events occur, we have two choices: 1) to remain calm and to trust Jesus; or 2) to not remain calm and get caught up in the chaos. His other main point was “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world”. Thank you, Mr. Timson, for sharing with our staff and students.

Our elementary gardening students, under the supervision of Duane and Jo Cheney, had the pleasure of harvesting their first lettuce crop. This was an exciting time!

Our fifth and sixth graders had an opportunity to travel to Ransom on Thursday to compete in an exhibition scholars bowl meet. This was designed to introduce our younger students to the procedures of competing in a scholars bowl meet.

Next week is HCS’s “cross exam week” for our secondary students. The main purpose of cross exam week is to give our secondary students a deeper dive into the understanding of the death and resurrection of Jesus.

High school golf, trap shooting, and junior high school track season is now underway. There are seven golfers, 13 tracksters, and four shooters.

Enjoy your weekend and the warm weather!
