HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
April 5, 2026
Written by Larry Gabel
This past week was our Heartland Christian School’s “Cross Exam Week”. Each morning our secondary students have had the privilege of hearing different guest speakers elaborating on the death and resurrection of Jesus along with live worship.
Mrs. Villmer’s first graders presented a skit for our weekly Chapel service of the death and resurrection of Jesus. They had many background pictures and costumes to help illustrate key concepts. Thank you to our first graders and Mrs. Villmer for the extra time and effort to make this Biblical story more special.
Mrs. Donley and Mrs. Schmeiser have been invited to be recognized by our Kansas State Senators in Topeka on April 9, 2026. They both received the “KAIRS Distinguished Teacher Award for Christian Schools”. Mrs. Donley received this award in 2023 and Mrs. Schmeiser in 2025. It is quite an honor to have two outstanding teachers from Heartland Christian School to be recognized by our State Senators.
Just a reminder that we will NOT have school this coming Monday due to Easter weekend.
