HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN SCHOOL HAPPENINGS - May 15
May 15, 2026
by Larry Gabel
Pictured above are our three graduating seniors this year. Blaine Beckley, Rianna Inman, and Levi Kersenbrock. These three will be missed but will be a positive influence in their chosen fields.
Last Tuesday, Mr. Schmeiser treated his biology class to visit the Sternberg Museum in Hays.
During the time slot of our last Chapel for this year, Mrs. Leebrick’s “Praise and Worship Band” led with songs and scripture. After they were done, our students were presented with the attendance, academic, and citizenship awards that they earned this school year. The complete list is on the following pages.
Our HCS junior high track team participated in the WKLL league track meet in Oakley on Thursday. We plan to have results of our students in next week’s Friday update.
Also on Thursday, our student council planned and orchestrated a special “Crusader Day” with their younger crusaders. They ate lunch together and played some fun games with them.
When we receive the results from the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, we will get the results to the parents asap. Final grade cards will be available for students and parents as soon as the teachers get all assignments graded and their classes concluded.
A special thanks to all our students, parents and staff for making this a very special place for the continued academic, social, and spiritual education of our youth.
