June Minutes - Abilene Hustlers 4-H Club

The monthly meeting of the Abilene Hustlers 4-H Club was set for June 1st, but was postponed to June 3rd because of weather. President Reagan Frantz called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm at Heartland Christian School. Roll Call was answered by your favorite summer activity in which a quorum was present.

Jack Denny gave the treasurer’s report in which 2 bills were approved to be paid. Finley Frantz gave the reporter’s report followed by the council report given by Reagan Frantz. She announced that there will be no day camp this year, but you can sign up to help with museum days on June 18th or June 25th from 9 am- 12pm.

The fair packet will come out some time in June, so be ready to pick those up. There will be a hoof trimmer on June 20th from 8 am- 12 pm at the fairgrounds for 4-H animals. Next, Amanda Juenemann led the new member recognition where the club recognized 2 new members.

The club discussed both the fair booth and fair float. The date for the 4-H club tour was decided for July 6th. The time and place will be decided later.

For the program, Morgan Mattix gave a project talk on horses and their diet. Quaid Frantz then led the club in playing telephone. The meeting was adjourned.

The next meeting is set for July 6th with the time and place yet to be determined. Everyone is welcome to bring a project to talk about during the tour. Upcoming events include Discovery Days June 3rd-5th, Camp Lakeside 8th-9th, Geology Field Trip June 12th-14th, State Fair Small Animal Livestock Nominations Due June 15th, Miles for Meals 5K /Mile June 20th, and Hoof Trimmer June 20th.
