August minutes for Solomon Valley 4-H Club

The monthly meeting of the Solomon Valley 4-H Club was held on August 10 at 7:00 pm at the 4-H building. The meeting was called to order by Nash Ziegelmeier, president.
Flag salute and 4-H pledge was led by Milo Burvee. Roll call was, “What is your favorite fair ride?” It was answered by 14 members & 3 leaders present.
Pete Ziegelmeier gave the leaders report. He mentioned that National 4-H week will be October 4-11th. He also reminded the club that record books are due October 1st.
For committee reports, the booth committee reported to us that we received grand champion on the booth. The float committee also told us that we received first place in the parade during the fair! And lastly, the window painting committee told the club that it went great & gave a generous thank you to Amanda Wolf for letting our club paint the windows at Vanderbilt’s.
For new business, Anthony Haag moved to accept the Officer nominating committee for our club. The meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting will be held on September 14th at the 4-H building.
