Heartland Christian School Weekly update August 21

Fred Miller was our Chapel speaker for our first Chapel of the year. Fred was born in Africa but has lived most of his life in America. Mr. Miller elaborated on our motto for the year, which is in the picture above.

He gave each student and some teachers a sum of money (seed money) to challenge them to think, pray, communicate, and collaborate with others on how best to invest to benefit others. His message relates to how God gives all of us talents that he expects us to “Rise Up”, invest in serving him and helping others. Thank you, Mr. Miller, for your impactful message.

Thanks to everyone who came to our school(s) to pray on Wednesday evening. If you were unable to attend physically but still took the time to pray, thank you. All our schools, whether private, Christian, public, or home school need our prayers daily.

Congratulations to Kirsten and Cody Gwinn on the birth of their daughter this past week. Her name is Kordelia Joann Gwinn. She weighed in at 8 pounds and 1 ounce, and 21 ½ inches in length.
