4-H members showcase style, sewing skills at Fashion Revue

Local 4-H members displayed creativity and craftsmanship during the 4-H Fashion Revue held July 21 at Celebration Community Church.
Ten exhibitors from the Solomon Valley, Brewster Prairie Gem and Abilene Hustlers 4-H clubs earned champion or reserve champion honors for constructed clothing, purchased outfits and textile projects.
In the constructed garment/outfit fashion revue, Emma Haag of Solomon Valley earned grand champion with a blue plaid dress, while Milo Burvee of Solomon Valley received reserve grand champion for a hoodie. Morgan Mattix of Abilene Hustlers earned grand champion for pants, and Adaline Kammer of Brewster Prairie Gem received reserve grand champion for a purple floral skirt and white tie-strap tank blouse. All four entries received purple ribbons.
Reagan Kammer of Brewster Prairie Gem earned grand champion in the Shopping in Style garment/outfit class for a custom-made denim jacket paired with black jeans and a T-shirt. Reserve grand champion honors went to Philomena Schrick of Abilene Hustlers for a black skort and pink floral top and Brody Stramel of Solomon Valley for a Western outfit. Each received a purple ribbon.
The Sewing and Textile Design division included wearable garments and non-wearable projects.
In the garment or outfit class, Milo Burvee earned grand champion for his hoodie, and Emma Haag earned grand champion for her blue plaid dress. Adaline Kammer received reserve grand champion for her skirt and tie-strap tank blouse. All three received purple ribbons.
Max Juenemann of Abilene Hustlers received a purple ribbon and reserve grand champion in the constructed garment for someone else class for a blue dress with white flowers, complemented by a pink hat.
Several exhibitors were recognized for non-wearable sewing and textile projects. Aleha Gabel of Abilene Hustlers earned grand champion with a purple-ribbon dragon quilt. She also received a blue ribbon and reserve grand champion for a Scrap Monster toy.
Juenemann earned a purple ribbon and reserve grand champion for an orange, gray and black ragtime quilt. Adaline Kammer also received a purple ribbon and reserve grand champion for a set of jelly roll placemats.
Reagan Kammer earned a purple ribbon and grand champion for a table runner, while Quinn Mazanec of Abilene Hustlers received a purple ribbon and grand champion for a quilt.
The Fashion Revue gave the young exhibitors an opportunity to present their clothing selections and demonstrate skills developed through their 4-H sewing and textile projects.
